Hager 729S Intumescent Fire Seal
Material Composition: 729 consists of a flexible graphite material covered on the top and both sides with a flexible PVC protective coating.
Colors: Stock colors include Charcoal (black), Brown (dark brown), Gray and Tan.
Product Dimensions:1/16" x 1/2" is standard. Available Lengths: 729 is supplied in rolls up to and including 150 ft.

Cold: 729 should remain flexible to -30 degrees F.
Hot: 729 should remain flexible to 140 degrees F.
Chemical Exposure: PVC resists most acids, strong Alkalis, salts and paraffinic hydrocarbon solutions. It is not recommended for use with chlorinated or aromatic hydrocarbons, esters or polar solvents such as ketones.

Temperature for Expansion: 390 degrees F.
Rate of Expansion: 7:1 average.
Moisture Resistance: Good resistance to water and humidity.
Special Handling Requirements: 729 should be stored at ambient temperatures between 40 degrees F and 140 degrees F. The adhesive backing used on 729 has a shelf life of 18 months. Stocks should be rotated to accommodate this aging.
Category G Edge Sealing System for use with Category B wood and plastic covered composite doors rate up to 1 hr and Category B wood core doors rated 20 minute fire tested without hose stream. Also suitable for Category J gasket for use with Listed steel frames and/or Classified steel covered composite, hollow metal doors rated up to 3 hrs; wood and plastic covered composite doors rated up to 1 1/2 hrs.
