When to Use an Automatic Door Bottom (ADB)
An Automatic Door Bottom is the premium choice for soundproofing (STC-rated) and smoke control. Unlike a fixed sweep, an ADB features a mechanical plunger that drops a neoprene seal only when the door is closed. This prevents "drag" on the floor and ensures a tight seal even on uneven surfaces.
